The public explorations of noise and free music by french artist and self taught musician Maxime Sauvage starts
in 2018. Operating in the french underground, performing in bars, DIY spaces, self managed radios and online, often switching moniker, artistic identity and aesthetics the musician settles on the name DETRUIRE and releases “Flux De Conscience” his first offering in 2022.

With this experimental self-released debut EP DETRUIRE explore despair, memory loss, thought abstraction.
The artist use samples of songs played with family and friends in the studio and digests it alone at home, processing it with raw digital sound design techniques to create eroding cinematic electro acoustic collages, mixing wide influences from video games soundtracks, ambient and concrete music to post-rock, doom and depressive black metal.

At the same time the musician resurfaces “Balneum”, an harsh noise and dungeon-synth/drone metal inspired
EP that he previously released (and unreleased) under other monikers. Some CD-Rs of Balneum are in circulations.

On stage the one man band creates dynamic soundscapes using guitar pedals, synthetizers, microphones, loops and field recordings. DETRUIRE installs heavy and loud ambiances made of harsh noise walls, screams, whispers, haunting melodies and drones.

Since 2022 DETRUIRE has shared the stage with experimental musicians and artists such as Yuri Landman and alongside heavier bands such as Ken MODE and Fange.

In 2023 DETRUIRE releases “FLUX II” that marks the next step in the “Flow Of Consciousness Series”.
